Peter Jackson
Co-Director of the Institute for Sustainable Food
University of Sheffield
Peter Jackson is Professor of Human Geography at the University of Sheffield where he co-directs the Institute for Sustainable Food (www.sheffield.ac.uk/sustainable-food). His research focuses on food security and sustainability with a particular emphasis on food consumption. Besides his academic work, Peter is a member of Defra’s Social Science Expert Group and recently chaired a SAPEA Working Group on the transition to a more just and sustainable food system for the EU. He is currently directing the H3 consortium (Healthy soil, Healthy food, Healthy people) as part of UKRI’s ‘Transforming UK food systems’ research programme.
