Heiko Spitzbarth

Dr. Heiko Spitzbarth, Head of Product Development at MartinBauer is responsible for innovation and leads four development departments focused on tea blends, extracts, flavour, and beverage/food applications. He completed his PhD in food process engineering at the ETH of Zurich.Dr. Heiko won several awards with innovative food developments and was a pioneer in establishing entrepreneurship in his previous roles at M-Industry in Switzerland.He has a deep knowledge in the relationship between food structure, process and property and his passion is to optimise food with natural and sustainable ingredients.
