Professor Dr. Hans Verhagen runs a food safety and nutrition consultancy in The Netherlands. He completed his PhD in food toxicology at the University of Maastricht and worked at TNO in Zeist for Unilever for five years, and for the RIVM for 10. In addition, he worked for the European Food Safety Authority for 14 years. He is a visiting professor at the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland and Technical University of Denmark.
